New Pup Reigns over Queen

so the above picture is the new dog that has taken over my other dog’s (keiko) territory.  Keiko has fought a long and hard battle to keep reign over her territory.  Now that Brooks (above) has entered into the dog house the queen has been overruled.  The new dog has not only interrupted Keiko’s life, but has also caused an earthquake for my brother (who owns the dog) and my parents.  Beyond all the early morning waking up because the puppy is ready to go A LOT earlier than we are ready to get our day going, the family has had to deal with the continual awareness of where he is in ever moment and make sure he has been outside recently.

If we loose sight of him and hear silence for just a slight second, thats never a good thing.  He has been a lot of fun around the house and may be small now but will be a fairly large pup! Brooks is a mix between poodle and english setter [known as a setterpoo] and has kept everyone up late playing rough or playing tug-o-war with his rope.  He loves socks, feet, hands, jeans, shirts, rugs, food, rough play, tennis balls, hair, his tail, and of course is interested in the only toy around the McElroy house that will play back, Keiko.

So hopefully you enjoy this picture and you can share with the laughs and smiles we have had… fortunately you have not had to share with us the lack of sleep he has caused us… haha.

keep pressing on and radiating who made you!

File, Print.

What is the last thing you do when writing a paper for class or something for work? you print it!  so therefore the last thing we are going to do is print our settings… not actually print up a document though that may not be too bad of an idea but that we need to metaphorically print the settings of our lives that we have modified over the last couple of weeks.

RECAP:  if you are just honing in on this blog and haven’t read the last few entry’s I really encourage you to go back and read them… this will make so much more sense and will speak mounds more with all the pieces.

back to document setup.  I think that the most important part of this series deal is to print.  What do I mean by “print”? well find someone to be accountable.

printing is the form where we are finished and turn it in.  printing makes something finalized and firm, once something is printed the only ways we can destroy it is if we burn it… shred it, or use white out to change stuff.  We need this same type of finalization with the settings we have made over the past few weeks and months.

So in order to print best you need to find the perfect piece of paper (or a friend) someone whom you trust, and not only someone who you live life with every day but is possibly also in the same seasons of life you are in and you can be accountable for them.  The bible talks a lot about praying for each other and finding people to hold you accountable to your faith and daily walk.  This principle is biblical.

If you look back on other blogs I have done, you will notice that there are several that form around these concepts. Colosians 1:9-10 talks about how paul was praying for the people of colosse… same idea.

I’m not saying that you need someone to follow you around day in and day out to make sure that you are making the needed time to find space and quiet and solitude. You just need to find someone that you can trust. Someone that you can pray with and dive in to His word with and live life together.  This person can help you when you are down and in the pits but the joys are when you can lift them up or just celebrate the greatness and the grandness of God together!

so make it a point to begin to carve out the needed time so we can have space in the business of life.. don’t feel the need to book every minute with something and don’t feel bored when there isn’t something to do… maybe these are divine appt. with the Almighty!   and find that person to pray with you and for you so that you may be able to refocus and modify the setting of the paper of life you are continuously writing and not allow text to flow off the page.  Lets begin now to make our margins big enough so we have room for errors and have room for change and have room for big curve-balls.
