so.. from time to time I get the opportunity to work with various student groups.. and this is one of the most amazing things that God has blessed me with over the last few years. However, one group (that happens to be among my favorites) is allowing me to help with their camp setup and planning… which I am really excited about.

Anywho… when I was over there today talking through some ideas they showed me the bumper they just created for a series they are doing….. THIS IS THIER VIDEO.

Hopefully you can enjoy this too.. I think it says a lot about what the power of viral videos is. The students ABSOLUTELY loved this video and recognized each one. How many do you recognize?

Well for the first time in almost 6 years, I am missing a Passion event in atlanta. No matter the amount I miss experiencing the presence of God at those events and being recharged to live a life for the glory of our GOD… I really miss connecting with thousands of people of like ages to gather in the name of JESUS!

It seems as the years pass me by, I am still motivated by one thing. Relationships.

From an amazing coffee with a great friend this morning about life, love and the future to opening a time capsule with my family and friends from ten years ago, to watching a powerful movie about a homeless kid who is adopted by a wealthy christian family and goes on to make a tremendous impact to his entire community and city… Relationships are a focal point of everything I love most.

It just seems that all around me God is continuing to grow my heart’s desire to be with people, meet the needs of those people, and live in authentic relationship with them.

When I started this blog almost 4 years ago I had a vision to write what was Creative, Real and authentic. In a way that would meet people where they struggle and wrestle with God in hopes to inspire, connect and equip all of us to live a life for the kingdom! This year will be no different.

And so as I start this new year, I have the exact same prayer… That God may fill each and everyone of you with the passion, grace, humility and love that births a desire to be in relationship with others and God!

Creative. Real. Authentic. Meeting you as you wrestle with God.

well… and it has come, the Day after Christmas. or the DAYS after christmas. When we take the time to throw away the trash, put away the tree and decorations, but most importantly return all the gifts that didnt fit, weren’t working well or exchange gifts to get something we wanted but didnt get.

I hope that you were able to share in the Joy of Christmas with your entire family, and got a chance to enjoy seeing the miracle of Christmas light up your family like it did mine.

 
 
 
 
However, I just got back from getting my hair cut, and I thought about something. The lady who was cutting my hair had a very different response to the question I asked her, “How was your Christmas?”

She said…. “I almost didnt make it through”

I guess I was expecting something like, “outstanding! how was yours?”, “You know it was very enjoyable.” or maybe even something as simple as. “it was good.”

It dawned on me that for many of you, this christmas had an incredible amount of stress. Stress to give the right gift, or stress to make the house just perfect for your mom so that she wouldnt nag you like she has every other time she comes and visits. Stress that you made sure to get your son or daughter the perfect thing that would express your love, express your joy and express your devotion to them. Stress to make someone’s life light up, and stress that no matter what you do, you can’t control the joy of your family.
 
 
 
 
I don’t know what exactly it is for you, but what I wanted to say to the woman who cut my hair is this…
 
 
 
 
 
 
Life is not about performing. It’s about transforming!

Transforming Lives.
Impacting people.
And guiding them to living a better, more fulfilling life!

I hope that for you, Christmas wasn’t as much about buying the right gift, as much as it was being with the people you love!
 
 
 
 
 
So as you take down the decorations, remember who it is you’re doing it with! And know that Life is more about relationships than ANYTHING ELSE!
