I just had to make a comment on this… I was sitting at my desk and reading my water bottle from Dasani and saw that this water has an expiration date!  On Sep. 4, 2006, this water can no longer be sold in a store.  I think that is just bizarre.  I mean if a company has an expiration date on the most pure and most abundant resource on the planet, I have to think twice about how “pure and fresh” the water is.  

    So i was bringing this idea up to some other people and they mentioned that this same thing is on paper products… WHY?  thats so weird!  Anyways hope your day is great and hope you are drinking water that is not out of date and that is still “fresh and pure”

The picture above is the front cover design of the brand new issue of Rolling Stone.  And below you will find a picture of the movie cover of Brokeback Mountain.  What is it about our culture that is causing us to make movies about a homosexual couple and what is it about our culture that is causing someone to create a magazine cover titled “The Passion of Kanye West”? 

I just think that this culture is being separated more and more from the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ and I think that sometimes in songs like “Jesus Walks”  pop-culture people think that this is a time for them to make a spectacle or show out of this Christian thing.  

On the note of Brokeback Mountain I think it is extremely absurd that the hollywood foreign press association (HFPA) will not only nominate but award this extremely controversial movie about two guys who fall in love but will refuse to award a stellar movie like The Passion of the Christ. I know that I may be a bit bias from the fact that I believe that Brokeback Mountain was a movie that lacked plot, character depth, deep insightful story lines, and overall acting.  I just think that the HFPA is more about making the United States people aware of such things like homosexuality and sorts like that, and therefore will achieve that best if it wins an award or two.

Tonight was the launch of the ministry I have been involved with called Echo Nashville.  This is a worship service targeted to nashville college students and young adults in order to help a generation rise up and glorify the renown of Christ throughout eternity! We meet every other tuesday at Long Hollow Baptist Church at 7:30.  The worship is exciting and passionate and the speaker, Jason Hayes, brings the truth in a relevant and thought-provoking way. 

So after months of preparation and prayer, we launched the first night of Echo Nashville and let me tell you how much God continues to change my life through His miraculous works! When I arrived at the church i was expecting me to show up do my thing and leave at the end of the night but God had a plan to use my team and me in an incredible way!  We heard so many comments on how our technical aspect of the service was phenomenal, and I wasn’t because of anything that we hit or anything I was controlling but the amount of God’s presence that was in the room that night.  If you weren’t there you can get a sneak peak of what the service is like at their website at echonashville.com!  I look forward to seeing each and everyone who reads this worshiping the God Almighty at echo again!
